This Advent we have a golden opportunity to achieve our goals. A generous donor has committed to matching whatever funds we raise up to $50,000. This means that if parishioners at St. John’s can collect $50,000, then $100,000 will be raised for our church operation.

I came here for the first time for a wedding and could not stop looking around to enjoy the architecture and the attention to detail in this church. Absolutely beautiful inside and out.

The stained glass windows are the most beautiful in all of New Orleans.  If you get the opportunity to go to Mass here or attend a wedding, it’s a must!

St. John the Baptist Catholic Church is one of the historic churches in New Orleans. I remember attending this church with my mom as a kid – even attending kid Catechism (CCD) classes on Saturdays.

St john the baptist

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John. He came as a witness to testify to the light, so that all might believe through him.
